Observing JAB Simulations

“Observing” jet (or outflow)/accretion disk/black hole (JAB) simulations enables us to test innumerable physical models of near-horizon emission from AGN based on the well-established theories of radiative processes and general relativity and the robust numerical framework of modern general relativistic magnetohydrodynamics.  I have coined “‘Observing’ JAB Simulations” to describe a methodology accounting for the entire process through which photons are created, propagated and ultimately observed in the form of synthetic images and spectra.
